Dr Delaney is a Consultant Neuropsychologist specialising in the neuropsychological assessment and treatment of adults with neurological conditions. She has over 16 years experience within both the NHS and Private sector, providing assessment and rehabilitation with a wide range of neurological presentations including stroke, TBI, ABI, and degenerative conditions such as Parkinsons, MS and MND.
Dr Delaney completed the British Psychological Society's Qualification in Clinical Neuropsychology in 2016, and has been on the Specialist Register of Clinical Neuropsychologists since that time.
Dr Delaney offers individual assessment and intervention to adults, carers and families. She adopts an integrative, holistic and formulation driven approach to intervention, including cognitive rehabilitation, behaviour management, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT) to inform her work. She is trained in trauma therapies including Trauma Focussed-ACT and Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR). She is also experienced in working with staff teams to offer training and consultation. She is passionate about integrative working across a multidisciplinary team to work towards the best quality of life possible for her clients.
In addition to her role as Director of Maybern Neuropsychology Ltd, Dr Delaney is also co-director of a social enterprise, Neuro In Nature CIC. This service provides mindfulness and compassion informed approaches in nature to people living with long term neurological conditions.

She is skilled in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and cognitive rehabilitation. She also has additional training in CBTi for Insomnia, with experience in applying this to sleep difficulties following TBI/ABI.
